nice! i brought a cheapo 256mb stick from currys not so long ago and that wont work, yet my 1gb stick i got a year ago works, yet i dont want to keep that in my pc as i use it often. the 256mb one needs a cable to plug in so maybe thats why. hmmm

mine is a 512 i bought over a year ago it was £20 at the time , now it is £7 ,anyway it didnt work when i plugged it into my 4 port hub i have clu tacked to my desk lol it only worked when i plugged it in the front

the hub is probs 1.1 where as the front is probs 2.0
i dont think i use my desktop enough to need speedboost anyway, its just a cool feature imo.

I got 2gig of ram so do I need one. My ipod supports it.

no the hub has ubb 2.0 high speed on the front but it isnt a powered hub soo that is why proberbly

it does help a bit. nothing drastic though. vista lite should run well on 2gb. it boots up quite quick on my desktop, possibly faster than xp.im pleased

yeah vista lite on 2gb would be very fast

Weird, the 1990 result is higher than the one in XP. Could Vista be actually faster?

if you look the one in vista is only faster cos of the memory , the processor is worse so it is only the memory that makes the vista quicker which i think is down to the readyboost

The CPU will always be slower on a new OS. It depends on which one though. What's yours?
