well every time i reinstall xp it starts to go really slow after like a week, and i figured 2000 may run faster. and so far it is running way faster right after a frssh install than xp runs after a fresh install. everything seems to run faster.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!! WINDOWS 2000 HAS TO BE THE WORST OPERATING SYSTEM I'VE EVER SEEN/USED IN MY LIFE! thats all my school has, but the teachers have XP pro. we (students) and some teachers use windows 2000 which completely BLOWS!

Either your computers suck or you're stupid.

Windows 2000 is FAR better compared to XP. XP just has more user-friendly options, most of which take up resources. 2000 is so stable and lightweight it puts XP to shame. Try using Windows 95/98 or Windows ME and you'll quickly change your opinion.

ya ive noticed that, how 2000 seems like a "lightweight" version of xp. that runs a lot faster.

Edit: Here's a hint, if you want to keep file quality while being able to keep the full size of your desktop, save it as an 8-bit .png file.

I regret moving over to XP, after the product lifespan ended for 2000. I won't make that regretful move again over to Vista.
