It isn't. He just set it so that he can set the resolution past what the monitor can support. He'll probably screw up the LCD after a while, but whatevers...

Actually, it will still display their native res at really high resolutions.. just not all of the extra..

Example: my dad's 17" LCD monitor supports 1280x1024 max.. now I can set windows to 1600x1200.. but the monitor is only showing 1280x1024 of that at any given time.. I can move the mouse around to move which location out all those 1600x1200 the monitor will display...

so it's harmless for that monitor.. I don't know if nate's works the same way, but thats how my dad's does.

Well, mine won't go to 1600x1200. It'll go to that crasy resolutions for the turnable screens, but not 1600x1200. Although...I would have loved to have that. Heck, my CRT, by default, can handle 1600x1200.

woah, i think we broke a record today.although i havent seen any snow just yet, just an hour ago it was up to 49 degrees. that's warm for december, i'm not complaining though.

Haha, this desktop is a 7MB print screen! Beat that

It's one messed up desktop, came on this morning, object dock fucked up, as has my taskbar. I think it's time for a change to linux!!!!!!!
