Default Gallery: Random projects

We need a thread to post random projects members are working on. It doesn't have to be computer-related, or even electronic.

Here's my most recent one. It's a left-handed grip for my DSLR.

Not pretty, but it works well as a proof of concept. I'll probably use it for a couple months, then decide if it'd be worthwhile to make a better one.

I pulled about 9 old delta fans from a couple ancient dell servers, I'm re wiring the red and while wires so it will run on a standard 3 pin system.

I added a gasket to my camera's kit lens so I'll feel more safe shooting in rain.

For such a ghetto modification, it actually works quite well. I can put a drop of water halfway down the extended lens barrel, then when I retract it, the water gets pushed all the way to the front. Before, it'd just smear everywhere.

Now I just need to find some sort of O-ring that I can mount on the camera.

I adapted my old Hexanon 40/1.8 to four thirds. It was actually quite simple, all I had to do was remove the rear baffle and the aperture pin. Then I stuck an O-ring to the back for spacing. Only problem is that it's like 120° off.
