There both diffrent mate. You wouldnt be able to cram an AGP card in a PCI-e slot

PCI-e is 16x wheres the fastest AGP is only 8x

Well, there are different speeds of PCI-e: x1, x2, x4, x8, x16, and x32. The faster the speed, the bigger the slot. Video cards are using x16 right now. Most small add-on cards will probably only need x1 or x2. Anyway, PCI-e and AGP are not interchangeable.
