Gateways most of the time, actually all of the time, are irrepariable. once soemthing goes wrong you might as well replace teh mobo or PSU or most of the time the whole thing. lots of teh time they blew up totally!

HPQ is a great company I think. Compaq merged with HP if you all remember. HP makes some very fine printers.

HP printers jam all teh time and thier software sucks. It uses up way too much ram (more than 30 megs!) for priting and up to 55-70 for scanning! teh software is clunky and too noobish even my mom thinks its annoyingly noobish

I prefer lexxmark.

Sure... want the last three lexmarks I had? They broke, completely. Lexmark is crap. Lexmark in fact is rated as one of the worst printer companies out there. It is the dell of printers.

This is the biggest pile of crap I have heard in a long time. HP printers never jam. And their software is pretty decent.. not the best I handled, but decent. They don't use all that much ram (again get off your stupid misinformed opinions). I have a HP Photosmart 7660, and it is one of the best photo printers on the market. You are the one who is too damn misinformed.

And HP computers are pretty good.

Next time you people talk crap about a company that you know nothing about expect retribution.

I agree Giancarlo, I like HP printers as well. However, Canon is still my favorite company. We own both, I like our Canon just a wee bit more for some reason (can't explain why) The HP Invent is awesome though, very smooth, and very very fast with only one or two paper jams per year. Also, the inks lasts a decent amount of time, but the Canons ink lasts longer.

My dad has a Canon printer. It is pretty good, but I like my HP Photosmart's paper in-feed more. The paper has jammed once or twice on my dad's Canon.. but the quality is great. The quality is close to exact on both, but I like the paper in-feed on my HP more. It never jams because of it. Heh, my ink has lasted very long. I guess it depends on the model.. which HP and Canon you own? I don't remember my dad's Canon... but here is my HP Photosmart 7660:
