Because AA isnt on 4x.....

That or he still has the 64.xx drivers that came on the install disk.

Those drivers came out before the 7600 chipset came out. I had the same dilema.

about the 1080i thing. doesnt xbox 360 and ps3 render at 1920x1080. is that even possible at 30fps?

Yes. Why do you think the hardware is so advanced? Usually developers target for 60 FPS at 1080p/i.

Also, don't expect the Battlefield games to look good. They're more concerned about getting consistent results all over the map, considering the maps are HUGE. Think of the Battlefield series as a MMOFPS genre. Why do you think Battlefield 2 recommends 2GB of RAM?

The graphics engine isn't that great either. I have mine running at max settings with all the eye-candy on and it still looks like crap compared to some other games I have.

Yeah, .. doesen't really looked maxed out to me. What reso are is it on?

BF2 really isn't a great looking game to begin with. That pic would look alot better with more AA though.

Yeah, I have about 2x or 4x AA on, but it's good enough because at 1680x1050, most jaggies are hard to see anyways.

It's a good technique to use on games. Just jack up the resolution to get rid of most jaggies.

No, that plays a part, but the biggest thing is the AA.....

There is a definite difference even when playing at 1680x1050... The jaggies are just smaller at that resolution, but none the less noticably there.

I personally say 4x or none. I dont personally see a big difference with aa at 2x.
