haha, well, all i know is the F-22 is currently the best of the best. at least that the general public knows about. the new F-35 JSF is a pretty awesome plane, but it still has a long way to go before it is accepted as much as F-22s, F/A-18s, F-16s, F-15s... and so on... the F-22 is my favorite modern-era fighter jet.

my favorite from WWII, you might ask?

haha Nice!

I used to play I stopped and then starting dumping all my money into computers, now I'm dumping my money into cars!

It's a vicious circle!

^haha, sounds like me, I spent like $600-700 on my gun, then a like $1300-1400 on my computer, and now I'm looking at getting a car to customize :D Its just that as you get older your toys get more expensive:D

carriers aren't really for fighting so they aren't heavily armed, they're more for carrying things like planes. Now a destroyer is something that's got lots of firepower :D They are designed to well destroy things!

haha, how did you own me? I was just saying the carrier isn't used for fighting, it is a great tool to use for aircraft without it, it would be almost impossible to maintain air superiority in a war.

The aircraft carrier has to rely on the aircraft for defense. If they went head on and battled each other, the destroyer would deal a lot more damage. Aircraft carriers are mainly designed for air superiority in places where there are no nearby airstrips.

As for the Iowa-class battleships, it may be powerful, but battleships don't do much other than maintain presence. They're slow, cumbersome and mainly used for long range bombardment rather than point-blank fights.

As for the Harpoon missile, meet the Phalanx CIWS and the RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile Launcher (RAM for short).

the one the bottom isnt used on ships to my knowledge but there are 4 of the gattling guns on a Nimitz class carrier and 2 on a Ticonderoga class destoryer. i could be wrong this is out of memory. carriers also have something simmilar to the RAM. might be the same but only carries 6 missiles

i know more about the millitary(WWI and up not much on civil war etc.) than i do computers :p
