Not terribly hard, depending on the route you want to take. For me it was harder because I used bolts to mount (looks really clean), but normally you can use some 3M #4010 (or similar) to mount the window. I also used some C (also called U) channel for the cut. For tools, I just use a good old ruler and a jigsaw. I just don't have a steady hand (or a good place to do the cutting).

well, for your 1200 Shozzking...

for on my 1200 all i did was remove the mesh on the side window an it looks cleaner by far...

I'm skeptic about using any kind of saw (including a hole saw) on acrylic (or lexan) less than 1/8" thick. It cracks VERY easily.

laser-cut. Which is why I would suggest buying a panel from FrozenCPU.com or the likes (Performance-PCs.com) before I would suggest modding in a plexi (acrylic) window with the intention of also having a fan hole.

It's all about the proper lubrication and speed. It's possible, but just takes patience and care (especially with acrylic).

Took me about 10 minutes to cut one hole in my acrylic window in my case. I used an adjustable cutting blade that was attached to a power drill. And yes, speed is key. Too slow (and thus too much pressure) = cracking. Too fast = melting the acrylic around the hole.
