Gallery: Cases

I hate the top and the way it looks. I hate the top fan. I hate the front grill. I hate the way it is shaped (not 90* angles). I hate how the 5.25" and HDD cage is one big piece. I just hate it period. Haha. Sure, it's nice and roomy. But I just don't like any of its design. Hahahaha. To each his own.

I want to mod my case to something like this

Obviously quickly photoshoped to show were the holes will be, and Ill add a 12" light cathode thing behind both collum and row. I'm wondering though, will a jigsaw cut through the metal or not? I dont know how powerfull they are

If not a jigsaw, get a hole saw for a drill. A Dremel will work too, but making perfect circles is a little more tedious.

When I did my holes in my case panel, I used an adjustable hole cutter. I can try and find it online if someone needs to see it.

Jig saw for square. I only really recommend dremel'ing for very small holes (square holes) The holes in my CM690 near the board and PSU were cut with a dremel. For large holes, I would suggest a quality jigsaw with a turnable blade (without turning the entire saw body)

I used to own one of these

Unfortunately it was stolen from one of our jobsites.

hmm, I think its best to have a test first with an old case, just so i get used to things rather than jumping straight into it :)
