Car Thread!

You could always just pull the lens off, tape up everything you don't want painted, and spray inside the headlight :D

Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. :p Just wet sand it down first to get rid of the scratches and stuff. I still don't think it will look near as good painting it that way, but I don't really have a choice. Hopefully I can get this done and installed by the end of this week. Letting the glue dry completely for today then I can repaint tomorrow hopefully.

Has a good deep tone. Needs 2 moar cylinders!

Pics of the Miata for all that were waiting. I think I went a little overboard with the contrast on the last pic. Oh well, they're driveway pics anyway.

Looks nice! My dad's always wanted a Miata. He'll probably get one after my brother leaves for college. What plans do you have for this car? I haven't been exactly keeping up.

Thanks! They're super fun cars.

The plans so far:

Suspension-(coilovers and front sway bar, maybe rear)

Engine-On the fence between N/A and forced induction

Wheels-Kosei K1s on some kind of grippy tires

Exterior-Fix cosmetic issues, OEM lip

I just got the car, so nothing is set in stone.

I don't have a licence but I just LOVE driving my dads car.

That is the same car, except the grey bit on the bottom is the same colour as the rest of the body. Oh and before you say illegal etc etc, I am a learner driver so basically I can drive his car if someone with their full licence is sitting in the passanger seat next to me (My mum or my dad)

Yeah, definitely a front sway bar. The stock one is way too soft. Putting a rear sway isn't necessary, but it is common for some NA owners to swap in a NB rear sway.

Definitely go FI if you have the money. Doesn't have to be anything crazy, just something to give the Miata a little extra power. It's pretty lacking for certain situations.

As for tires, the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs are pretty much THE best max performance summer tires you can buy for the money. They're great in dry or wet and they're cheaper than most other competitors as well.

For exterior modifications all you need is the OEM R-Package front and rear lips and you're golden.
