Car Thread!

Looks like it's coming along well! I have my engine done, and the Fox Mustang parked outside. The asshole switched it too donut spares before I picked it up... w/e I need different rims anyway, the other ones were ugly as shit too.

What I need for it... pads and rotors for the rear, then it will be 4 wheel disc, 28 spline 5 lug axles. Front left and right fenders and bumper cover. Tail lights. Tranny X-member. Then I can drop the engine in and take it for a spin. After that, I want to replace the vert top and front seats. And install my trac-loc and 3.73 or 4.10 gears.

Oh man! I can't wait to see that when it's done!!

Yeah, the motor is back in already and I've had it around town to seal the valves, but I haven't taken pics yet. I wasn't up for the challenge, so the hood is off, down at our local body shop getting painted for $250, which I thought was very reasonable...

Yea, vortec I6 is a MAJOR oxy-moron, haha, just what it says on the cover.

Jeep front/rear ends were going out and so was the tranny. At this point we decided it'd be best to buy something a little newer that'll last me through college, the Tblazer only has 71k on it, so it should last well beyond college.

Idk, I just like SUV's, I feel safer in them than a car and 4x4 helps on the roads we run on. Although i will say this, as soon as i can afford, i'll be buying a retired police package impala to use for chasing. MUCH better mileage on the highway..

Well it's not just you that uses them for chasing. Every time I see a chaser they are driving a SUV. I just wondered if there was some specific reason. I guess the 4x4 might have something to do with it, but I doubt it's really that much of a requirement.

I thought the I6's were gone too, the owner had this listed as a "V6", popped the hood, it definitely isn't a V6 haha.

Yea SUV's are more-so popular for their room mainly.
