Car Thread!

Getting it to pass smog testing wouldn't be hard. It's crash testing and US customs that's a *****.

There are so many cars we don't get in the US... Smog testing isnt in many states, so we don't need to worry about that.

UK gets a diesel Ranger to start out... 3.0 inline 4... Would be awsome to have one of those!

Yep, the US gets the shaft on a lot of cars. I mean, the UK has a Focus we don't have yet, how does that make sense?

Depends on the car. That's the reason why the R34 was never brought over to North America. It couldn't pass emissions standards for the US.

I'll post today's picture of the day a little early.

I don't even need to introduce this picture. A true motorsport enthusiast should already know who this is and the classic car in that picture.

I never got to see the fellow Brazilian legend at his best; I've only seen clips. I was too young. From what my dad told me, he was the King.

Yeah, he was the King of the Rain. That guy could drive in the wet like no other human on the face of this planet could. He had such a great sense of car control...

Yeah...all we have now are just videos. I wish I could've been there at a GP to see him drive in person. Especially in the days when he drove for Lotus and when he battled it out with Prost at McLaren.
