Car Thread!

WAT?

Anyone know a good brand that makes Stealth amber bulbs?? I wanna get rid of the amber on my headlights, I wanna tint the side marker and get rid of the amber bulbs.

Clear Corners would clean it up a bit. Is that what you are looking for? HID projection lights or whatever they are would be nice too...

I really wish my car had ESC! It's the reason why my parents won't let me drive in the snow. I tried arguing with them saying that it's just as dangerous as my mom driving her car because hers is RWD while mine is FWD. The fact that I have FWD would make up for the ESC...but they didn't buy it.
What is ESC? lol, something I am missing... RWD is 10x more dangerous then FWD in the winter. And you really need to start practicing driving in the snow sometime.

Electronic Stability Control. I've driven in the snow before...I don't know why she's making a fuss about this when her car that is RWD (although it has ESC). So what I argued with them is that RWD + ESC = FWD (ESC somewhat makes up for RWD), and therefore I should be allowed to drive.

ESC doesnt really make any difference.... All it does is keep you from burning rubber, which a decent driver can do on their own. Driving a RWD car in teh winter is a lot harder then driving a FWD car. Yours is 10x safer now. What kind of car do you have and she have?

Well my dad got home and I started talking to him about it...my mom was wrong. She told me RWD when it's FWD....At first that's what I was thinking, but she told me that it was RWD. So, I figured her car, she'd know. But yeah, hers is also FWD. I drive an 03 Mazda Protege and she drives an 08 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Oh, yeah, hers is a little better in the snow then. Ugh... my friend had a Santa Fe... it had all kinds of problems.... lol.

Yeah, pretty much all of the cars in Hyundai's range are FWD except for the Genesis sedan and the upcoming Genesis coupe.

Financial crisis I suppose is the biggest reason, but I imagine the FIA changing the WRC series from the "WRC" class to "S2000+" class cars had a big factor in the decision to not run a factory works team next season.

Oh and Audi has also pulled it's factory team from the European Le Mans Series as well.

I would imagine NASCAR fans should worry as well. Stock car racing might be in trouble if the Big Three do go under considering if GM, Chrysler and Ford all pulled out of NASCAR, all that would be left would be...Toyota.

Toyota FTW!

Already got HID's in this ish

What I wanna get rid of the amber in my headlights, clear corners would be nice but I have to open up the headlight. I would rather tint the corners amber. And i want some stealth bulbs for the turn signal bulb so it doesnt look yellow.

Oh, I don't know really then. Those are cool looking headlights!!

I saw some Ranger on RPS that had normal headlights, but then in the foglight valence had some aircraft lights or something. It was pretty sweet, 10x brighter then normal headlights pretty much, lol. I want to get some hella offroad lights on mine, and a billet grill to mount them behind, I think it would look kinda cool.

That's not necessarily a good thing. It's actually quite a joke how Toyota had to go into NASCAR just to be competitive since they did so poorly in Formula 1 a year or two ago.

But if this was the 1980's/1990's then I would agree with what you said. The Mk.IV Supra was a beast. That 2JZ-GTE engine with twin turbos is still one of the finest engines ever made...of course, since it was designed by a German company contracted by Toyota. :p

Still, even today it's crazy seeing how much power drag racers get from that straight six. If you tune it properly, you can easily get over 1,000hp from a 2JZ.
