Car Thread!

Oh wow so you have the B16b in your sedan? Thats a true gem, thats a JDM engine niceeee.

I have read that turbos on Vtecs are a pain in the ass, good luck!

Yeah, that's why rotaries and piston engines that don't have variable valve timing such as VVT, VTEC, VANOS etc make great candidates for FI. I should do that for my E36. No VANOS, so less crap to worry about when I boost that baby. :)

Hey alvino, I have a question for you. You know who the Euro E36's have the ITB's (I think on the 3.0 and 3.2), do you know if you can take the setup off one of the engines and bolt it to our USDM motors?

Yep, the S50B30 was used in the European E36 M3 and yes it did use ITB's coupled with an oversized MAF sensor. I remember the US E36 M3 got a lot of crap because BMW put the S50B30US in it which was fairly detuned compared to the Euro version.

As far as detaching the ITB and MAF setup, I'm not sure if it's compatible with the US S50 motor since the US version used a singular intake manifold instead.

Mmm...thats just pure sex. The Three Litre Heater indeed. :)

I just don't like it when people generalize Civics as cars being incapable of going fast just because of the kids running around with Civics that have Wal-Mart exhausts.

If you properly tune a honda, especially the B16 or the K24a2 engine, you can get some fast quarter miles.

K20 too. Intake and exhaust in a K20A2 hatch will get you into mid to low 13's depends if you did any weight reduction.

Sexy indeed. Even if it can't be done, I'm still pretty dead-set on a E36 M3.

F*ck an 99 M5 just walked my friend's S2000 like nothing. Those things are fast, maybe the Si with a boosted GSR motor can take him.

Dude that is no comparison. A Honda S2000 vs. a BMW M5. Well its obvious who is going to win, a M5 is out of control fast.
