Car Thread!

That sucks, but I'm not really surprised, he was really putting that motor under a big load stock, but that says something about those motors. Roach Racing did a fully built 2.0 Neon, boosted to 20 PSI. Made 400 WHP until he got rear-ended, but now he got a hold of an SRT-4 motor. He expects nothing less than 700 HP, but I don't know details or how far along it is. I expect its gonna run on race gas.

Here's a video of when it still had the 2.0:

Other than the front end, it does have a nice looking body though. The front bumper looks good and that's the only thing I like about the front. The headlight looks ugly (why curve it like that?--looks kind of gay) and that Superman looking front grill just doesn't cut it. Looks more like a girls car because women are calling it "cute". That's what one of the girls in my class said when I showed her the picture.

The new Evo has more power, but they really blew it with the styling. It looks like it carry the trend with some of the classic american muscle car look with import styling. Some people really like it, while others hate it. Nothing in between. I just plain hate the Evo, but I love their power output.

A classmate today had a computer management on his laptop for his 73 Camaro. OMFG, I forgot the name of the program. It waw like DFI? or something close to it. Forgot. It had all kinds of meters and even a fuel injection mod to it. He said the 73 model Camaro didn't have fuel injection but I guess he modified it so it does. Spent thousands and thousand of dollars on his car.

Could have been Megasquirt, that uses a laptop.

As far as the Evo, I think it has potential as far as looks go, but they just didn't do it right. Evo 9 FTW!

EP3's are nice, but I have my eyes set on a SRT-4 or a LS1 Camaro or Firebird.

The Diablo is okay. At least it was a step up from the Countach. I've never liked Lamborghini's that much. Ferrari, Pagani and Koenigsegg are better if you ask me.

Heh, that's a nice Porsche 997 GT3. :) Have you seen the 2008 GT2? Jesus H. Christ.

From its 530 hp, low curb weight of 3,179lbs, and 204 mph top speed, the 2008 Porsche GT2 is a supercar in every sense of the word. Heck, even its €189,496 sticker places Porsche's most potent 911 in the land of the F430 and the Gallardo. Where the Ferrari and the Lamborghini can't match up against the GT2 is where it matters most, on the track. Not just any track, either. We're talking about the track by which all great sports cars are judged... the vaunted 'Ring. Porsche claims the new GT2 can lap the legendary 14-mile course in a mere 7:32, which is 10 seconds better than even the 599 GTB. That ridiculous lap time puts the GT2's average speed at over 110mph, which is just sick. Must be the Titanium exhaust. The 2008 Porsche GT2 is scheduled to appear in Frankfurt in September, and the newest 997 will hit European streets in November.

7:32 around Nurburgring? That's...insane!

Who cares? For the performance and what you get, it's worthy every penny.

Sure, you might have to sell your house and your kids to get the car, but hey, you can live in the car, but you can't drive the house. ;)

That is a sweet Porsche. Titanium exhaust lol, I could see that being used in the next F&F movie.

The only thing I don't like about Porsche - all their cars look the same. Except the bland Cayenne. Either way they still look pretty nice, though I prefer the older models with the huge whale tail wing sticking off the back. The Cayman S is pretty hot too, I'd say close second. Other than that it's just their super high end racecar models I like.

Haha, yeah I agree. Porsche has kept the same general design for almost all their cars through the years. Personally I don't like the Cayenne. Performance car manufacturers should not be making SUVs. It's like having Ferrari make a SUV of their own.

The Cayman S is nice. The Carrera GT is okay, but I wouldn't mind owning a 997 GT2 or GT3. Yummy.

Here's another look at the new 08 Subaru STI. OMG, it looks so sexy from different point of views!!! This one looks a little different than the previous picts of the STI on here. The front end looks slightly different on this picture.
