Re: Gallery: You're Car

Haha, TRD, ALL Japanese cars have legendary reliability, unlike most American cars. :p

Re: Gallery: You're Car

It was in 03 when I bought that car. I was comparing the Nissan Sentra SE R, Honda Civic, and the Toyota Corolla at the time. Nissan had a great motor and very powerful. Potent. I liked it a lot, but research on the Toyota Corolla was astonishing. Their line of TRD components and especially the supercharger impressed me enough to get the Corolla. Those cost I spend on TRD parts and the MSRP sticker price of the car at the time was just under $20,000 excluding my financing fees of course. That add to the cost.

The new Civic has more horsepower than what my Corolla can put out, but I have way more torque which gives me a better launch. The problem with my car at launch is wheel spin. They do make a TRD LSD for my trans-axles, but they cost like $900 for a set.

Still, I would gladly take the Civic Si. Best NA vehicle I've seen by any manufacturer that cost around $20,000.

Civic Si Specs at a glance

Engine liters: 2.0
Cylinder configuration: I-4
Horsepower: 197-hp @ 7,800 rpm
Torque: 139 lbs.-ft. @ 6,200 rpm
# of valves: 16
Variable valve control: i-VTEC
Recommended fuel: premium unleaded
Aluminum cylinder block
Aluminum cylinder head
Ignition type: electronic
Engine orientation: transverse
Fuel economy city: 23 mpg
Fuel economy highway: 32 mpg
Fuel tank capacity: 13 gal.

Re: Gallery: You're Car

I never liked the Corolla's looks though. Personally, I like the Nissan Sentra SE-R's looks over the Corolla S.

Re: Gallery: You're Car

The Sentra has a nice front end which I like, but the back doesn't look good. My first impression of the Corolla at first, was that it looked similar to the Lexus SUV due to the rear design. Very similar resemblance, but not suprising because Lexus and Toyota are the same company.

If the TRD package wasn't available for the Corolla, there was a good chance that I may have purchased the Sentra SE R instead.

Re: Gallery: You're Car

They new Civic SI is very impresive i love how they redesign it, what im questioned about is why havent i seen a new 2006 eclipse on the road i never seen one weird

Re: Gallery: You're Car

you had to choose a CIvic non SI right if it was SI i would have gone with the SI

Re: Gallery: You're Car

I saw it. Looks too ugly to me. I wouldn't get it. I wish the new Civic Si had 4 doors instead of just two. I guess it has something to do with weight reduction, lol.
