Car Thread!

Your car is awesome! I would prefer a stick, but not everyone does, especially in traffic.

Oh yeah, it's high all right. My Corolla was way upside down and I'm talking MAJORLY UPSIDE down. I had the Corolla refinanced last year so it was still hot on payments. I was part time then so refinancing was a good option for me. Now that I'm making a lot more money and working full time, I couldn've made the old payments (before the refinance). I ruined it, darn it.

But it was impulse that drove me to getting the new IS250. It's sick lookng and too hot for words. I knew I just had to get it. The good news is that the MSRP was brought down to $30,000 from $35,550 w/ premium package installed (HID bi-xenon / adaptive headlights, 18" wheels, wheel locks, cargo net, wood trim, and something else). But they had to add the negative balance on top of $30,000 + financing, registration, gap insurance. You can kind of get the idea of the cost from that point on. Whew... it wsa something.

But I can afford it still, so kudos there. Those night shots just doesn't show off the car good enough. Serious. I'm checking it out in the daytime, and I'm like, "oooooo, damn look at that sexy car out there. Who's has the sexiest car? Who's fine loooking car is that sitting out there?" Yeah, I was full of it today.

I'll take picts tomorrow definitely. Just hope I can find nice cars to park next too :p, if you know what I mean.

Yeah I would say it was an impulse but you had your heart set for the IS250 sweet car, cool if you can afford it, one word "Garage" :p. Not much on the road there still pretty new, oh did you check if it has Led license plate lights check it for me !!! :p Bi-xenon yummy so you have Xenon highs to???

Oh man, I thought about stick too since I loved driving the Evo. But when I found out he IS250 had standard sport shift paddles, and sport shit by the gear selector, I had to get it. One thing I notice is that the first gear shifts way too fast. Not funny. Like 2 seconds in, it shifts to 2nd gear. Sport shift is different since you change it manually, but man, under regular Drive--it's strange to feel that happening.

The needles are neat to watch at night. When you first start it up, all the needles turn from one direction to the other, then everything else lights up. I love the Smart Access key. The instruction manual is like thick too. I just found out that I can open my trunk too without pressing the trunk button. I can just walk over, put my hands on the right side sensor, and boom--trunk opens up.

But performance wise, wow, sport shift rules. I was going 60 in no time flat. I don't care official specs say on the 0-60 time, but I swear it was much faster than that. I do need to take it easy since I'm "breaking it in"

Oh man, I don't have dibs on the garage. My roommate has her dumb Mercedes in there. She deserves it though since it's more expensive than mine so I don't mind.

All the interior lights are LEDs I believe. The pedestal near my foot and on the passenger sides are all LED. They all light up at night when the lights are on. Pretty cool hyper white, bluish type color. The license plate lights are the same hyper white blue lights ( I guess that the best I can describe the color). I looked at it last night. It's pretty nice looking.

Yeah thats were the scion owners got the idea of putting LED's on plates hehe.
Here are pics of mine :D

My friend's getting his new pedestal spoiler put on this week. I think that's what you call the spoilers for the tC. I highly doubt he's going to do anything to it as far as performance goes. It's a fast little car because I'm in it when he drives half the time. I told him about the SSP thing and how it changes the sound. Whoa, what a difference. We left it on xB I think. Or was it xA? One of them had a really nice loudness to it.

After the spoiler, he's got lights (hyper whites or blue for main headlights) on order and possible fog lights. I'm telling you man, the two of us bought our new cars like in the same month, the same color (outside and inside). Damn, I like his taste. So I match it with a Lexus, hehe.

Yeah, I'll get some nice shots tomorrow and post it on here. It's been a long time coming in getting this car. I've been drooling since the 2006 models came out. Now I have finally have the finances down so I got it. An 07, lol. Whew, registration is paid up until 08 (yeah!!)

I told him about ScionLife and he browses every now and then. He doesn't register though. I don't think he's a forum type of guy. I saw your screen name pop up quite a few times there.

Haha tell him to sign up he will learn a lot! or on yoursciontc.com its a smaller but has more knowledgeable peeps. The forums have helped me to get to know my car better. Oh about the SSP thing I told ya! Hehe both xA and xB sound a lot more but I think xA sounds better. Oh so his getting the big one :p I got the little one.
