Xp is not running well?

I newly installed Xp service pack 3 but it is not running well.
during work it stucks and shutdown my PC.
Will you sort me out of this problem.

Is the computer older? It sounds like you may have a bad hard drive. Let me know what kind of hard drive you have. You can find this by going into Device Manager from Control Panel and expanding the Disk Drives option. Post back with what you find.
