I have Got The Dell Dimension E521 and The OS Has Gone And When I Install XP Again. It Goes Through The Blue Screen Where It Copys Files Over and Then Restarts Like It Says It should. But It Comes U Invalid ! I Have Tried To Find a New Hard Drive But None Fit! Where Shall i Try To Get One From and What Shall I Do About The OS ? Thanks

1st of all...are you trying to re-install using the recovery partition ? or are you trying to re-install using the recovery cd's/dvd ? in either case, can you get into bios. if yes, then make it so that the computer boots from the cd/dvd drive. by changing the boot order.

example :
1st boot devise -cd/dvd drive
2nd boot devise- hhd
3rd boot devise- none.

once you change the boot order, then boot with the cd in the drive and do the recovery option. you can bring up the boot menu by hitting the esc key right after your comp. logo dissapears.

if for some reason the recovery partition on the hhd is gone or erased, you'll have to call the company of your computer and ask them for a recovery cd.
