Windows 7 Starter

I bought a netbook from sams club, and it was the display computer, so it has Windows 7 Starter. My friend said I needed to do something to become administer and get regular windows but I forgot what he said. Can anyone help me? I can't change the desktop wallpaper or anything

Windows Starter has certain features missing from it. One such missing feature is the ability to change the desktop wallpaper. If all you want to do is be able to change the wallpaper, there are ways to do it, here's a link to one: Windows-7-Starter-Easy-way-to-change-wallpaper

In order to have access to any other Win 7 features that are missing from Win 7 Starter you will need to upgrade to a different version such as Win 7 Home Premium.
