Windows 7 Key

I really need help with this. I installed windows 7 and i have been running it fine then all the sudden it tells me that i need a new key cause mine doesnt work. i cannot customize anything so it looks like i am running off of windows 97. can somebody help me get a working key PLEASE!!!!
