Vista issue

I started installing Vista from an iso last night, it got to the second stage of "Setting up your computer" and the power blinked. Now I get some message about having to restart my computer and restart installation. Is my only option going to be to reinstall XP then install Vista? I still have the iso on another HDD. Thanks.

May I ask, why are you using an ISO file? Usually ISO files indicate that you are trying to install an illegal/pirated copy of Vista.

Because I ripped it from a friend. I was going to give it a trial run before I decided if I really wanted to pay all that money for it.

upgrade or full install? if it's a full install just format it again and start over.
