Vista Business To Ultimate

im needing advice.

im installing vista ultimate 32 bit over exsisting vista business os. now with doing this will i be keeping my fiels and settings. witout out fresh install but isntalling over the previous OS on exsisting partition.

The CD does not have the upgrade option but yet repair or fresh isntall. so liek i said install over the old os overwriting the os, will this keep all the settings and files intact fomr instaleld programs such as quick books pro.

Are you booting up the cd on load or running it from within vista? To do an upgrade you need to run it from within vista.

when i do it ill be booting off the cd from within vista using the autorun. so windows will be running when i do it.

Windows Vista Ultimate should have an upgrade feature. If upgrading is what you want to do, I would bring back or sell the Full Version, and get the upgrade version of Vista Ultimate.
