update to w10

I have a win 7 64bit pc that has a valeted copy of win 7 installed when I clic on the icon (win update)in lower l R corner, a window comes up asking if you want to update now or download and update later. I clic update now a window opens and said download starting after 2 min a new window opens and says no new updates avaible.

Use the Media Creation Tool to upgrade your machine to Windows 10. Doing it through Windows Update has, in my experience, rarely worked.

I've upgraded once through Windows Update/Get Windows 10 app. Like crazyman I've found using installation media created from media creation tool is a lot better idea and you can keep a copy of the media you created.

Seems the M$ servers are being slow. I'd bet real money it's the new update to w10 that have them overwhelmed.

If trying one way fails repeatedly, try a different way. The same input will normally yield the same result.

I've also gotten ISO's directly from Microsoft without using the media creation tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/techbench.
