Well I'm all new to the programming languages, but the more I read and research the more interested I become. I just have a quick question...I've used C and C++ on my OS and they worked great. I want to know if either Unix or Linux Can be put on a One HD laptop while still running Windows XP and not have it ruin anything. Thanks.

You can do that pretty easily. Just have each operating system on a separate drive partition, and dual boot. You might have to reformat to get the right partitions though.
