Triple Booting Linux, Tiger, and Leopard

I have a mid 2006 Macbook (2.16 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM). Right now, I have OS X 10.4.11 without Boot Camp. I know that it is possible to dual boot Leopard and Tiger (http://installingcats.com/2007/11/06/dual-boot-os-x-leopard-tiger-105-104-installation/), but I am wondering if there is any way that I could then also install Linux. I'm sure it's possible, but I'm just wondering in what order I should install them, and how to partition the hard drive.

Also, what distro would you suggest? I was going to install Ubuntu, but it looks like in order to get my wireless internet to work I would need to download something, but I can't download it without the internet. Is there any way to go on my family computer and put it onto a flash drive? How would that work?

Here is what I would recommend that you take a look at first. It is a good walkthough for how to install and ubuntu livecd iso onto your flashdrive. I am guessing that you are using OS X right now, so the partitioning manager will be different, but all the command prompt commands will be the same.

I hope that this helps.

Cheers!

My flash drive isn't large enough to put Ubuntu onto it. I just want to know if I can put the driver onto it.

Right now I am using Tiger, but I am going to install Leopard. Also, I'm pretty sure Macs can't boot from a flash drive.

Not knowing too much about macs, but, if it is anything like a pc, if it is connected to the computer at the time of booting then you should be able to boot from it in someway or another.

Cheers!

Would the instructions in that article work for installing Ubuntu, too? So I guess when I'm doing the dual booting Tiger / Leopard, I shoud put in a few more partitions that I can install Ubuntu onto. I don't really need to use a flash drive, because I can just burn a CD of it. The only problem, though, is that driver. That's what I want to know if I can install from a flash drive. It's required to go on the internet, but you need to get it from the internet.

Installing Ubuntu looks really complicated, and there are a lot of things that don't work. Does anyone know any linux distros that would be easier to install?
