Sound Disapeared??

Installed the New directx 9.0C and my sound stopped working.. my computer says that the driver and hardware is there but it isnt playing it out.. no its not on mute or anything liek that its really strange.. this is for a laptop

Toshiba a70 Satelite 2.8ghz 512mb Ram win xp home

remove the sound card drivers and install new ones. (preferably the most up to date ones). If they don't work either then you could also try using some older drivers.

You Just Re- Install the Sound drivers again but the poblem remains Just format ur C drive and re install the OS and install all the drivers

Reinstalling tho OS is a bit harsh isnt it? He could just use system restore if he cant find any drivers to work with DX9C. Also if you post the details of the pc, we might be to help ya with the drivers etc.
