Sound Card in Linux

Hi, i'm havin trouble getting sound workin in Debian Linux my mobo is a Gigabyte GA-K8N-ProSli, its the onboard sound that im having touble with, i've tried installing and configuring alsa, but no joy. Anyone know what to do? Thanx
 
It's really trickey to get some hardware to work in linux. You can try using your windows driver using Ndiswrapper. Also you may want to try Ubuntu linux it is very good at detecting hardware and getting everything to work.
 
I've never used ndiswrapper before, will try it, but i'm not gonna use Ubuntu, tried it once and I don't like it...
