Software Question

I own a small computer repair shop that services computers locally around me and I have a small question.

Is there a program that can track people's computers when they make a critical update and through the internet write the files to my computer's external hardrive or separate computer? I'm trying to use this as a file backup system so if a customer's computer crashes and needs a backup I would have one.
