Registry Editor problem

I go to start, click run (I have XP by the way) and type in Regedt32.exe for the registry editor. It pops up, but only for a second and then it just disappears. Sometimes itll stay up for about 3 seconds. I would like to know why it does this? Thanks for all the help.

I've always used 'regedit' to start the Registry Edit. If that doesn't work, you could always get a third party registry editor. Do a Google search and you'll find plenty.

Yea i always types "regedit" aswell and as mentioned by Satori if that is a problem u can get a a third party registry proggy, here is a good site www.snapfiles.com have a look under freeware
