panasonic toughbook CF28

Hi again everyone I hope someone can help me out here I have bought a Panasonic Toughbook CF28 which is running windows 2000 and I have here a windows XP I am not using but I am worried about losing the drivers for the touchscreen how would you suggest I go about doing this also the laptop appears to have a wireless card fitted but I could not get it to connect to my BT home hub probably because it was not invented when windows 2000 was about I am sure I will be able to do it if I can get XP on it can I install XP over the top of 2000 or do I have to format the hard drive thanks Chris
