First, I sincerely apologize for not looking deeper but I'm sort of in a pinch for time.
I want to bring my laptop to out of box condition, WITHOUT getting rid of the stock OS (windows 7)

I just want everything off and to start fresh

Ok I'm kinda busy right now, but google search D2D recovery (name of laptop)

back your data up , and i think the compaq should have a recovery manager.. just open and run that.. use the options of your choice.. if not get the windows 7 disk and it should restore factory settings on the disk

Compaq's by default you press F11 when you first turn it on to restore the computer. This will delete everything off the computer.
