My sound control keys will not work

I have an ASUS G50VT-X5 laptop from Besbuy. So i used to be able to press fn and F10-F12 to control my volume, but for some reason it does not work anymore. My other fn's work like F5 and F6 for brightness. Thanks

Was there a driver update? Try rolling back the sound card driver.

I dont think there was, i had to reset my comp to factory settings at one point and it seems like it hasnt worked since then. I normally have it plugged up to speakers, so i cannot be 100% sure. Ill try that though

IIRC, this is controlled by Asus-supplied software that comes with your laptop. Unfortunately they don't always have this in order with the factory settings. You will have to look around and see if you can install/start/reset this particular software again.

Your best bet would be to go to the manufacturer's web site to download the software and drivers.
