Major Windows 8.1 problems plus more

No sound, No You Tube Video and FSX won't start. What caused this ? I have a few ideas. I used Revo un-install, maybe I un-installed too much. I recently downloaded Windows 8.1, maybe that's a problem. I was messing with the turn off/on of Windows programs in the Control Panel. I went back and turned them all on. I hope I won't need a system recovery.
This all came about around the time I downloaded Windows 8.1
HP technician tried to get my sound back last night, He gave up. My computer is under warrenty so I have that option. If I do a system recovery all will loose a lot of addons from my Microsoft Flight Simulator, but I'm willing to try anything at this point. Any suggestions?

OK well the No Sound, "sounds" like a driver issue to me.

Go to your PCs manufacturers website, look under support for something like drivers and downloads. Download the drivers for your sound and anything else that isn't working like graphics, wifi etc.

Next up, you say no Youtube, care to elaborate?
Is it just saying no flash player is installed?
