I have itunes 7.5 and I recently bought a new ipod, so I was trying to organize my library. I have several CDs that are compilations, with different songs from various artists.
whenever I import these, or any other album for that matter, into the itunes library, it spits the songs into their own albums, with usually anywhere between 1 and 5 songs in each.
update: I have also noticed that the songs are being displayed in alphabetical order. Perhaps itunes is forcing the album to be arranged this way, despite the album/artist structure? but if so, I see no way of changing this.
another update: seemed to solve the problem by clicking on the album column until they were arranged properly, lol. cannot believe it would have been that simple.
