OK so i have the Hp dv6-1238nr Entertainment notebook pc and i dropped it the other day and now it wont boot up. i can boot into the system recovery but its just stays at the blue screen and nothing comes up. im booting off ubuntu and trying to get my files and ect off but im getting

Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 13: Error reading bootsector: Input/output error
Failed to mount '/dev/sda1': Input/output error
NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
for more details.

can someone please help me

Do what the message says, run chkdsk /f on Windows. Since you can't boot into Windows, boot off your Windows disk (or, if there's a command line option on your recovery partition, open that) and run "chkdsk /f". See if it fixes anything and try rebooting. If it can't fix it, then your drive might just be dead, which wouldn't be surprising since you dropped it.
