I have installed an extension that blocks some websites that i choose.

This is great however the end user can just access the chrome extensions and uninstall/disable it therefore making it useless.

I did once have some sort of code that greyed out the enable/disable button and the uninstall link but i cant seem to find it.

Anyone know how I can go about fixing this?

While I can offer no help, you have brought up a good point. I would be interested in hearing your resolution, should you find one.

I'm not sure about the original question, but why not just set up a proper (network level) web filter? It should be possible within the router firmware if we're talking a small network. Something done within the browser is always going to be incredibly easy to get around.

Yeah just uninstall the browser. Besides you might get a bit of unfriendly feed back if it can't be uninstalled. If it's parental control you're looking for having that built in to windows and most routers would be an alternate.
