I just recently made a customized kernel for my raspberry pi to enable a usb monitor. The problem I am now faced with is, my ubuntu laptop does not have an sd card slot. My windows 8 does though. I have an ubuntu flash drive, and I'm wondering if there is a way to set it up to where the file is accessible on ubuntu when I boot from usb. Is that even possible?

let me get it straight.
You want to boot up Ubuntu via a USB on your win8 PC, then access via that PC your files on your Ubuntu machine?

why?

You can create a homegroup. If they are both on the same network, it shouldn't be difficult.

I'm currently in barracks housing, and only one of my devices can be connected to a network at a time
