Does downloading Windows XP and a cd key actually work?

I mean as long as you get a cd key that hasn't been used, why wouldn't it? I'm wondering cuz I really don't wanna spend like $200 bucks on it. Thanks.

it all depends on how is was copied....please don't ask for pirated stuff in threads here.

you can PM people for help, or search your answer on the web, but no one here will tell you where to get a pirate copy, cuz that's illegal.
