Crazy Question

My friend for some strange reason wants people not to see the "*** is typing a message" when she is typing to them. Does anyone know of a way to make it so the other people wont see it. I already tried to get her to download an older version. But she wont. Help on this

Its show the other person that there is activity and to not start a new Comment until the new ones been finished?

there is a setting for letting other people see when you are typing, under the privacy preferences, I think all you have to do is uncheck the box that says allow other users to see when I am typing
