is this legal?
 
i have zoolander on vhs.

could i open up limewire or some such and download it? i want to put it on my pda, and to do that, i need it on my comp.

i could rip it form a dvd yet, i dont have it on dvd...

would this be legal?

No, I don't think it would be legal. You're not DLing a VHS, and you don't have the DVD version purchased

well it wouldn't be a dvd, it would jsut be the movie file. no menu's or such not.

If you legal baught it, you have rights to own it.

In whatever form, you have rights to it.

So long as you dont distribute it you break no law.

well, if you thinkl about it, it is like going to the store and saying, "since i bought this movie i should get another one free." i still think it shouldnt be illegal though
