HTC Dream/Google G1

So i might not be able to afford my Droid (Might need to do some work on the car) so i was wondering is the HTC Dream/Google G1 Still Worth Getting? Will Current apps run on it OK?

My G1 still runs pretty good with normal apps. It could be better but I use the overclock app to 520Mhz and there is a Autokiller program that manages memory very well to increase its performance. (Root) which is easy to do. I'm ready to upgrade tho phones are ridiculous expensive

The G1 will run most apps OK.

What do you mean 'at the moment'? I Think i might just buy the cheapest dam phone i can find,put up with it and in a few months when i have the dosh ill then buy the droid....
