if you mean custom firmware you have to have a pandoras battery to overwrite your psps current firmware.etc.etc

i thought the psp slim was protected against homebrews and custom firmware cuz it would brick itself. i must be wrong then.

No the slim is fully hackable. 3 slims hacked and counting .
