Going to Florida this summer.. but there's a problem

How to get there! My car has way too many problems to be able to go 1000 miles there and back..

I only want to spend about $500 to get there.. I've looked into renting a car but Avis will not accept anyone under 25 without a major credit card. I'm going to enterprise today to see how bad they can rip me..

Ideas anyone?

Haha, I guess I forgot to say that'll be me and my fiance going and we plan on getting married in a courthouse down there. We've been together for 6 years now.

There is no cost too great for love? If it costs you more, pool money. Or get married locally.

You can use that as a credit card and rent a car... or airplane tickets

What problems does your car have?

Agree with the thinking of lhuser here - would it not make more sense to either try and fix your car or look to investing in a new one? Long term it seems like it'd make more sense to me.
