Freaked Out

Ok, on thusday. I tryed burning a DVD but it didnt work so I went to bed and when I woke up my DVD IDE strap was completely out of the Slot on the motherboard. So I though someone came in or whatever so I plug it back on friday and the aparment is empty (Parents went to family for a weekend) than I came back on Sunday and its unpluged again
