Can't create a new thread

Why can't I create a thread anywhere but under "Welcome To Computer Forums .org" and "General Computing". I've completed my registration.

You should be able to make a thread in any section of the forum, The admins may have some restrictions in place for new members but I am not sure..

For articles, I'd have to check to make sure this is still true, but members cannot 'create' new articles in those forums. Create a new one in the Member submission forum and we'll move it to the appropriate subforum.
