Bloody wireless

Ok i fix pcs - as a hobby and to earn some cash. I have a notebook - here with a wireless pci card inside it.

The connection is enabled - yet it never finds a wireless network on either of the 2 wireless router networks i have tested it on. It is configured so that windows configures the connection - what on earth could it be...

Thanks very much.
