Beagle virus

Yes, Beagle, not Bagle, I get a "Microsoft" pop-up, very plain, doesn't look like genuine, when I click on it, the site I see does look official, but having had something similar lately, [see my post in Hardware/Software] I didn't d/load the patch, or whatever it offered, should I have done?

I think it's SpyWare. Be cautious.

Yes be very cautious about any popup that comes up, that does not have anything to do with updating at the time. Spyware are getting smarter and hiding them selves behing bogus popup's that you think are window errors and what not.

Clicking the popup is acually allowing it to d/l code that will wreak havoc on your computer or even allow it to be taken over.
