Can Not Hibernate

Can you help again???

When I click on Hibernate I get a pop up box that says....

The device driver for the printer port is preventing the machine to hibernate.... close all applications and try again .....

So I went to the printer ports and it says that ... The fax com port is currently busy... Close the application using the fax com port and press retry ....

I am lost ... please help...

Do you have a Fax Machine working on your PC?

Yes I do... I removed my HP3100 printer from my computer and now I can hibernate... Do you know why I can not hibernate when I load the software for this printer???... It is a fax and a laser printer in one....

Hmmm... probably that the Fax software needs to be running to use the Fax; if it goes into Hibernate then it pauses that information and you don't have a Fax. I imagine its been put in place by HP to stop you stopping your Fax without knowing about it.
